Our Blog

I spent a few hours last night changing the look of our website (www.horsesandcars.com). I'll be reorganizing things on the site over the next few days to get more of our "life" up there, as the wedding information is a bit out  of date now! Though, wedding related, we will be posting information about our local reception as soon as we have more...
Well, we made it back to St. Louis without any major issues. Overall the honeymoon was great! I'll try to get more photos and details up over the next few days. Just wanted to make a post that we were finally home. I'm still uploading photos from the wedding to my Flickr account, they should all finally be there by morning! If you want to order prints from flickr, please register on flickr.com and then add me as a friend/contact/family, then you'll be able to see the order prints links. I've got the photos setup so that only friends/family/contacts can see the print links. Otherwise you can just click on the "All Sizes" link above the photo when viewing a specific photo and choose to save the largest image on your computer. You can then take that file to a printer of your choice to have hard copies made. Questions? Email...
Well, the honeymoon is almost over! It's about 10:30 CST and I need to get back to the room to wake Natalie up so we can begin packing. We've gotta be at the lobby at 5:40am to catch a ride to the airport. The Paradisus at Playa Conchal was excellent! We'll do a more detailed review along with photos a few days after we get back. We've got a few thousand photos to go...
Today we went on an ATV/Canopy tour with Hightide Surfshop. It was a blast! Our guide Randall was excellent. We had a great time on the ATV ride, and then riding 8 different Zip lines. Though I had some issues going upside down! I was upside down, as intended, but only hung one arm down and held onto the ropes with my other arm, Natalie ended up hanging both arms down. If you're ever in Tamarindo check them out at TamarindoAdventures.net.   After the ATV/Canopy tour we took two jetskis out into the ocean for an hour. My hands have never been so tired! With all the motorsports today they are worn out! Tomorrow we're off to do a Volcano/Hotsprings/Rainforest tour. It'll be a long day but hopefully worth...
Our first photos in Costa Rica. I actually doctor'd the photo though. After swimming in the pool and ocean all day I ended upw ith some HUGE hair, so I trimmed it down a bit with...
We made it to Costa Rica safe and sound! It's beautiful here, 80 degrees and sunny. The pool here at Paradisus Playa Conchal is amazing, as are the accomodations. More on our stay later! I've started uploading some photos from the wedding to my flickr account, but have a couple hundred more to go. On this slow connection it'll take me a few...
Wow, it came and went so fast. Natalie and I had the most excellent time of our lives (anyone know what song/movie?). Our wedding day was perfect, beautiful weather, lots of close friends and family, and we got to marry each other! Pictures coming soon! Our DJ Scott at Coastline Music was awesome. John and Howard from John Bordon Photography were both excellent as well. I don't think I'd ever see so many flashes in my life! It was great. Thanks to all of our friends and family who made the trip out. I know the weather threw a kink in some plans for folks, but everyone in St. Louis made it out, though with a few days worth of trying to catch flights! All of the overseas folks made it without too much hassle as well! Most of all, thank you to our parents, you all have done more for both of us than we could have ever expected or even asked for. Thanks for making our day so special. Thanks again to everyone, we're sitting at the airport in Miami right now, getting a bit of rest. We fly to Costa Rica here in a few hours! ...
Today is the day I get to see my beautiful bride in her wedding dress. Today is the day I get to put her wedding ring on her finger. Today is the day we get to have our first dance. Today is the day we get married. I think everyone, or most everyone has made it here. All of the wedding party finally made it in. I think there's only one person as of right now who was unable to make a flight to CA. Thanks to everyone who's made the trip out, hope to see you all in a few...
For those of you currently stuck in Missouri or elsewhere in the country with terrible weather, it's scheduled to be 75 degrees and sunny here on Saturday! (knock on wood) Hopefully Marty and Bill will make it from MO tomorrow afternoon, Marty and Kate were supposed to fly out today but got stuck due to the weather back...
We had the rehearsal and dinner tonight. It was wonderful, thanks to my parents for putting it all together, and to everyone who made it out! A good time was had by all I believe. We're at the Crowne Plaza now. Wedding in less than 48...
5 Days until the wedding! Here are some photos I took at Jessica and Brad's wedding in San Diego on Friday. I'll be posting some photos from our Universal Studios adventure later...
The wedding is now less than two weeks away! Hope everyone has made all their travel plans! We're franticly trying to get everything squared away here in Missouri. We leave on Wednesday to Cali for Thanksgiving then a week with family before the wedding. Here's a photo Mom took at Natalie's shower when I showed...
